Employers are not satisfied with indian Education Level


There is lots of demand of Indian Graduates in Job Market Increasing and it increasing rapidly but But employers of IT sectors are not satisfied with the quality of these students. A Recent study shows that however India is producing lots of engineers and IT professionals, but they do not have basic behavior Skills and smart skills. India's global standing, might jeopardies because of mismatch between what is required of graduates who enter the job market , and what is taught in schools and colleges. Report says that 40% of Indian Student are not eligible.

A study conducted by Pearson Education and Edexcel (Edexcel is a Pearson company that works in the education sector. ) covered five fastest growing economies -- China Brazil, the UAE, India and South Africa. And report Titled 'Effective Education for Employment', Prepared, which attempts to answer the question 'What makes a 21st century employee? Which shows that to what level indian students are prepared for job market requirement in future.

Skills and behaviour are the areas where Indian employees fall short. Claire Stuart, international marketing manager, Edexcel said that "Most employers stated that Indian employees didn't have the right attitude, that they were not inclined towards team work, did not take responsibility or did not show up on time". Besides lack of basic employability skills, the study also revealed that Indian institutions did not impart appropriate training to fulfil industry requirements, confirming that there is a visible mismatch.

In India, the nearly 400 respondents comprised government officials, industry personnel, students, academicians and employees of various organisations. The study showed that 40% of the students were not prepared by their institutions to face the job market ( in International and Also in Indian market) and over 30% of the students had no contact with employers of recruiting companies during their studies.

Economic Recession has Changed Employability Requirement:
Things are changing quickly, especially in the backdrop of the economic recession. Candidates will have to adapt to changes, if they intend to stay employed, The government has taken measures through the National Skill Development Mission to improve it but it seems that these measures are not Fulfilling The requirement of Industries. Dr N Prabhu Dev, vice-chancellor, Bangalore University,said, " We want more of student-industry interaction to promote research-based activities and also prepare students for a career of their choice."

Madan Padki, CEO Merit Trac said "Vocational education has been largely neglected in India". The Era has Changed after economic recession, Getting jobs is more tougher. Companies want people with Smart and Good Behavior skills, which Indian job seekers laking. The condition will be worse, even when we are trying to improve Quality Of Education
