4 Ways To Help You Multitask

A recent survey shows that About 35 percent of Gen Y-ers multitask, compared with 30 percent of Gen X-ers. However it says that Many prefer monotasking over multitasking . Multitasking is going to increase before it wanes. It seems to be a precious attribute with people lately.


However, if done the right way, multitasking will bring in result which will help in your career growth. It comes free of cost, makes you valuable to the company and to the potential recruiters. The benefits of multitasking are many. It helps you become attentive, creative, responsive towards work, garners your ability to execute work efficiently etc. So,Why not try multitasking?
These are the 4 Ways To Help You Multitask:

  • One thing at a time. Make a mental note of the tasks involved in a work and accomplish them before moving onto the next one. Concentrate and finish one task at a time. Avoid juggling work. Remain focussed and determined to complete work within TAT.
  • Chalk out a schedule. Plan before undertaking a project. Pick out the priority projects and work on them first. Always chalk out an agenda before embarking on any new one. Ensure you have time to relax in between them so as to not burn out.
  • Do not overburden yourself with responsibilities. Only take up work if you have the time for it. Learn to say “No” to work. Nobody will think any less of you if you refuse work rather than not complete them on a pre-set time or work shoddily.
  • Retrospect your goal. Analyse what you want from life at present. If your goal is moons away from your work then there is no point in multitasking work. Take out time to relax and mingle with close ones. Rejuvenate yourself before you start working again.
