Bihar "Super 30" academy breaks all records

"Super 30" academy which gives free training to poor meritorious students for IIT-JEE In Patna(Bihar) breaks all records. All 30 students of "Super 30" academy who emerged successful in IIT entrance test this year, clearing the highly competitive Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE), the institute announced on Monday.An IIT entrance exam is considered to be one of the toughest entrance examinations in the world, the gateway to the prestigious Indian Institute of technology (IIT).

"Super 30" is a highly ambitious and innovative educational program running under the banner of "Ramanujan School of Mathematics". It hunts for 30 meritorious talents from among the economically backward sections of the society and shapes them for India's most prestigious institution – the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).


These students are from the economically weak background and cannot afford expensive coaching centre. Their dream of joining an IIT was almost lost until Anand Kumar and Abhayanand, the Additional Director General of Police started this institute. The academy, based here, offers 30 talented poor students Coaching is provided for free, free lodging and an intensive seven-month coaching to prepare them for IIT entrance test. Anand Kumar had started this institute picking 30 students a year and closely monitoring and guiding the IIT aspirants and the success rate has always been 100 percent.

In the last seven years, it has produced hundreds IITians from extremely poor background. From this year onwards, he plans to take 90 students opening the gateway to success for many students from poor backgrounds. However, Anand Kumar and Abhayanand have parted ways and both run their own institute separately. However, hoe this move proves to be more beneficial to more students. Anand Kumar's success have bred many such coaching centres in Bihar.

"Super 30 is an amazing initiative and it needs to be taken to maximum people around the globe," said Christopher Mitchell, whose film for Discovery also bagged the Audience Choice Award at the sixth Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. Two years ago, Norika Fujiwara, a former Japanese beauty queen and actress, made a documentary film on Super 30 for its innovative and successful attempt to send poor children to India's top engineering colleges. website: http://www.super30.org
